So lets break it down, what happens when you Hyperventilate and hold your breath,
- CO2 levels drop
- O2 levels raise
- pH level in blood raise up to 7.75
- (nor)adrenalin raises
- easier access to “anti-inflammatory cytokine” IL-10 when needed
How is this good or bad in any way? By putting your body in a state of stress. constantly, actively adjusting and triggering the stress response. You learn to swiftly switch between Active and passive stress reduction, as in supressing illness, pain, and disease.
The raise in pH levels are also shown to be a great pain supressor, and the raise of Adrenalin can be used as fuel.
Keep playing with breath control, and be safe, no holding breath in water, or other unsafe conditions(you could pass out)
